Looking for the baptism record for Emma Pitts born about February 1835, probably in Tormoham or St. Marychurch, Torquay, Devon.
Also baptism record for Emma Pitt born 1837/8 again probably in Tormoham or St. Marychurch, Torquay, Devon.
I just want to confirm the parents names, and father's trade on the baptism records, as well as the date.

terryleaman,
Thanks for your baptism information.
I have a death certificate for an Emma Pitt who died in Newton Abbot, reg. district. on 6 January 1841 at Torquay, parish of Tormoham.
She was 3 years and 4 months, and died of convulsions, her father is William Pitt, a gardener.
The death was registered on 7 January 1841 by her father.
I know this is the correct father for the Emma Pitt born in January 1834, and baptised in February 1835, because this William Pitt was married to Mary Dreaton, who died in 1839, William remarried again later the same year to Ann Holmes. Who came from Sampford Peverell, Devon. On their marriage certificate it records his profession as a gardener, so I'm sure that he is the correct one.
But, if it is the same Emma Pitt born in 1834, surely she should be older.
Any ideas please?

I've looked at my burial databae as well, and yes, an Emma was buried in Tormoham on 8th January 1841 aged 3- but no other information is given.
But this may be the answer-
PITTS Emma was buried:- 10 April 1836 age:- 14m notes/address:- - where:- Tormoham
It looks like they named a second daughter Emma, but there isn't a baptism for her.
Also:-
PITT Mary was buried:- 22 February 1839 age:- 41 notes/address:- of Tor where:- Tormoham
And
PITTS George Dreaton was buried:- 20 August 1833 age:- 10m? notes/address:- - where:- Tormoham
Unfortunately there are no Grave stones for any of them.

terryleaman,
Many thanks for your information, I think that must be the answer, but I wonder why the didn't have the second Emma baptised? Or maybe she was baptised some where else.
The Mary Pitt aged 41 buried on 22 February 1839, was William's first wife
Mary Dreaton, she died on 19 February 1839.
William Pitt married his second wife Ann Holmes, on 28 May 1839 at Tormoham, Devon, so he got married soon after his first wife died.
Pity there are no grave stones for them.
