Title: Eva Bella Davies....seen once & then lost!...
Post by: sem73 on Wednesday 09 May 12 13:22 BST (UK)
Hi All

Need fresh eyes on this one!...I have Eva Bella Davies b.1896 in Ffrith,Flintshire living with parents Richard & Louisa with siblings in Tryddyn in 1901....
This is the only record I can find of her?..no BMD, no sight of her either on the 1911 census...
Any thoughts & help much appreciated!...it may be either obvious or an eternal mystery!!

Sarah :)

Hi PaulineJ

On the 1911, Richard & Louisa have been married 30 yrs, 12 children, 3 of whom have died...birth years of the children (I know of!) range from 1884-1904.

Have you followed up on any of Richard's children?

Hello WRJ

I know what happened to 8 of them for sure, I expect "eva bella" may have been one who died but cannot see a birth for her at present

try for a death instead.
What would be the correct registration district?

I'm not seeing a death of an ,Eva and/or Eve Belle or Bella  or even Arabella Davies!Mind you her birth doesn't show too readily either!

William Russell Jones.

Well Pauline J,its not a straightforward place as far as a Registration District is concerned.Ffrith could be in Holywell or Wrexham District. The person who would be able to tell me is not available on a Tuesday!

William Russell Jones.

Hi all

You're right WRJ, it's a tricky geographical area regarding registration districts!...I've 3 family birth certs covering a wide time span reflecting the change over time in districts, all 3 born in nant-y-ffrith and all different!..holywell, hawarden & ruthin!

Hi, Sadly we do not share ancestors---A few years ago I was trying to find family graves in Llanfynydd and was given access to their records---I managed to note most if not all of the earliest burials and this has proved useful on a few occasions-will gladly look up any more if ever required Regards Tom

What about this one ?

North Wales Birth indexes for the years: 1896
DAVIES Isabella Mold Flintshire (Mold)   MOLD/48/80

Free BMD has her as this.
Births Jun 1896
Davies  Isabella    Holywell  11b 219

But perhaps not , this may be her in 1901.
Isabella Davies aged 5
Father Robert Davies
Mother Harriet Davies
Born  Leeswood, Flintshire, Wales

A  tough one is this  ::)

Hi Wilcoxon

I think that's the most probable one yet!..at least the cert will confirm parents....and her real name!

Hi,
As you have her father's name, you could telephone the Registrar in Mold to check if the correct Isabella.
HTH,
Megran.

Hi, This is all the info. I have from the Burial Reg. and I can only suggest they are yours due to the almost perfect dob----DAVIES Louisa, Slambar(Shambar) Wen. Bur 16 11 1924 aged 62 Years
DAVIES Richard, 7 Cymau Rd. Ffrith Bur 23 12 1934 aged 77 years-Hope this helps---I do not think there is a headstone as I took pics of  most of them and I do not have one for Richard & Louisa.  ::) Tom

Hi Sarah, Please do you have exact dob & dod for Louisa & Richard as I would appreciate them to put in my database of Llanfynydd Burials---No worries if you prefer not to share or do not possess same.-Tom

Hi Wilcoxon

She's still giving me the run-around!...she's actually been on the "back-burner" while I've been chasing some of her siblings but you've reminded me!....I think my next step is to check out both of the 1896 Arabella Davies you & Wendy suggested....hopefully she'll appear one day!!

Hi there, I was wondering if you knew anything about Samuel Davies, Eva Bellas brother. I believe he might be my great grandad, my grandmother being Dorothy Wright ( maiden name Davies)

Thanks, Helen
