Title: Thomas family of Lamb & flag hotel
Post by: parf on Sunday 19 August 12 18:18 BST (UK)
Trying to find where my Grt Uncle & Aunt are buried.
Ivor Thomas died at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel nr Coychurch on 10th Sept 1966, he was a widower by then. Also not sure when his wife Gertrude M Thomas died but I know it was before Uncle Ivor, she could have died at the same place as him or they did have the Lamb & Flag Hotel in Glyn Neath before that.  They were still there in 1950 when their daughter Barbara died in the Llandow Air Disaster.  I would also like to know where Barbara is buried as well.  I would presume that would be Neath.

Hope this is enough information for someone to help or advise me,
Thanks
Jan

Hi parf

If your Ivor Thomas is the gentleman who's death is registered in the Dec Qtr. 1966 Neath aged 66, then you might be in luck.

There is a burial for a Ivor Thomas of 15 Avon Street, Glyn Neath 16th November 1966 at St. Cadoc's Church, Aberpergwm Glyn Neath.

Don't see a burial for Gertrude.
There is a Death registration for a Gertrude M Thomas in the March Qtr. of 1965 in Neath, aged 53.

Hello,
The Air disaster was on 12th March 1950.
Neath library would have copies of the news headlines in the local paper  at this time which would also contain details of Barbara funderal.
This may contain details of the cemetery.
An Internment certificate would provide details of the grave ect.
Kind regards
Heddwch
