Title: George Piercy

I am looking for the parents of George Piercy who was born 8 Feb 1831, Reading, Berkshire. He emigrated to New Zealand on the ship Egmont in 1856. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Michelle,

The only George Piercy I can see on the IGI is one baptised 26-5-1830 in St.Lawrence, Reading, Berks the son of William Piercy and Ann Maria.

This doesn't help if, as you say, he was born in 1831 unless the earlier one died.

Have you got any more details from his emigration papers?

No info for his Parents on his NZ Marriage or Death Cert?

As he names a Daug Anna Maria and a Son William the one Alan gave is a possible.
