I am looking for the birth record for Rebecca SKEEF (born c. 1854). Her parents were Stephen and Rebecca SKEEF (nee HUNT). Her parents were married in 1845 so I would think she was born as a SKEEF (or some variation of that name). She seems to be consistantly called Rebecca except on marriage finder where she is shown as Rea SKEEF. marrying Robert MIDDLEBROOK Sept Q 1873 Holbeach 7a 771.
All relevant census reports show her as being born in Holbeach around 1854. It looks like the SKEEF's were Anglicans and All Saint's Church in Moulton seems to where some SKEEFs turn up for burial.
I can find no entry for her in the GRO index but I do find her siblings in there (all under Holbeach around the same time 1845-1860).
Any assistance would be most welcome.
Best regards
Kevin

Awesome!
Thank you so much.
I would never have guessed SKEET but it doesn't surprise me, I have had lots of 'interesting' variations on family names. :)
Thank you both again.

Thanks Pam.
How interesting...4 children all being Christened on the same day. That must have been an awesome day for the family. ;D
It does raise questions about the remaining children but I do know that at least one of them died before 1867 and I haven't researched the other yet. Interesting that all the girls were CHristened too and none of the boys (assuming they survived of course).
Thanks again
Kevin
