Title: Daniel Durber-Marriage
Post by: wrjones on Sunday 26 May 13 20:37 BST (UK)
I'm looking for the marriage of my Greatx3-Grandfather Daniel Durber to a Mary before 1815 in the Burslem area of Staffordshire. The couple are known to have had two children born in Burslem,Daniel(1815-1821) and Thomas(1818-1868).

Mary died in 1820 and Daniel married for a second time to an Ann Pepper in 1821.

Regards
William Russell Jones.

I think it might be a case of ploughing through the parish records.
I would look at Burslem, Stoke-upon-Trent, Wolstanton as the most obvious but then Norton, Bucknall, Newcastle-u-Lyme and other surrounding parishes. If Daniel was involved in the pottery industry then he might also have worked, and therefore married, outside of the county such as Liverpool (Herculaneum pottery employed most of its workforce from Staffordshire), and to a lesser extent Southwick, Worcester, Bovey Tracy in Devon.
