Hi I am looking for some info on Charles Palmer family I have found on the 1891 census he had 2 daughters Annie and Jane Elizabeth The next census states Josephine another daughter but no sign of Annie I want to know what happened to her she would of been 13 on the 1901 census. I assume she is working at this point and living elsewhere as my aunt recalls living with an aunt Annie which could be her unfortunately she cant remember her married name but thinks she had a daughter called Glynis waggott. Also Jane Elizabeth was my great Grandmother and any info on her child that died when the 1911 census took place as it only states 1 child died is there any way you can find out the name of that child. I know she had other children the only ones I know are what my nanna knew. Solomon, Joseph, William ,Les, Robert, Lilian and my Nanna Dorothy their surname young they lived in Dene Avenue in Lemington

Hi some of the facts add up. Not sure if the correct Annie yet as haven't spoken to my aunt to see if she remember this name. But there was Waggotts in the family so probably is them. I know my aunt has a photo of Annie and her daughter Glynis or Glenda cant remember what name my mum told me. Wonder if there is a website with any photos of them on. I wonder what happened to Josephine my nanna didn't remember her but I can no longer ask her as she passed away in January . Thanks for the help.

Try a general search on your internet for photos ,
you could use free bmd and family search to pick up your family,
they are free resources,
Durham records on line is a fee paying site but you can still use it without purchasing the certificates,
ancestry is free at most libraries,

Living Lemington at the same address he was in 1901 with Jane E
May I suggest that if you live near Newcastle you book into a Margaret Hall session at the archives,she is very knowledgeable and patient,I feel as I do not live in the area I am just confusing you more,

Hi yes Charles Palmer remarried after His first wife died and she was called Annie and I have come across the name Kneebone. They did marry in 1908 as 1911 census states married for 2 years so it is this family. Yes live bout 45 minutes away from Newcastle maybe check her out. Just been interested in family history for a while but last year got quite a bit on this side of the family.
Thanks for the help.

Ann Weir with her mother Bridget in 1841 census,
missing in 1851,will work on this one from her daughters birth,
Ann Aynsley Weir, in 1851 census with Grandmother Bridget Weir ,
==========================================
Ann and Joseph Brown,
Have children Arthur Aynsley Brown,1859
Jane Eliza Brown,1862 later to be Mrs Palmer
Margaret 1864
===========================================
Ann Pollack Weir marries Joseph Brown in 1856 Newcastle,
in the 1861 census they are all down as Brown,
Elswick
RG9/3815
Joseph Brown,42,born Yorkshire ,shoemaker
Ann,wife ,40, born Newcastle,
Ann Brown,aged 13 ,daughter
Arthur W Brown,aged 1,son,
=======================================
1871 census,
Elswick
RG10/5077
Joseph Brown,52,a shoemaker born Yorkshire
Ann P Brown,aged 50,wife born Newcastle
Arthur W,Brown,11,son born Newcastle
Jane E Brown,9,daughter born Newcastle
Margaret Brown,7
==============================================================
so in fact Ann Aynsley Weir is the Aunt as she is half sister to Jane Eliza Brown
Ann Aynsley having just married Arthur Shillito,so with her new husband in 1871
-
I have spent hours trying to work out the Aunt bit ,so please do verify every thing I have posted as I could be completely wrong,
and the mother was in fact Margaret the other sister in 1841 census,
if you can print of your posts,take it along to the archives in Newcastle,and verify it there through the different resources,it is cheaper than buying certificates for every one,
Best of luck,
Radcliff in Exile,

Lemington is a village in the district of Newburn Hall. High Row was part of 'Low-Lemington'. All the house here have been demolished. High Row, Low Row, Tyne Iron Row etc. However a Facebook group - Lemington and Newburn Pit Village past - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1241638782946518 has extensive research on the area along with maps and ample photographs.

Hi, it seems we may be not so distant cousins.
I'm Gary Palmer, descended from Edward Palmer (b 1832- d 1877), father of my grt grandfather Joshua Palmer (b 1874 - d 1958) and - among his siblings - your Charles Palmer (b 1860 - d 1917). Sooo, your Charles Palmer is my grt uncle, with our family hailing from Lemingon and Newburn since circa 1875.
My family line is via Norman Palmer 1931-2002 -- Norman Palmer 1905-1990 -- Joshua Palmer 1873-1958 -- Edward Palmer 1832-1877 -- Charles Palmer 1808-1862
We have Waggott, Wilson, Forster, Shiletto, Liddle, Robson, Robinson and so on in our tree and I'll gladly help if you wish.
It seems Josephina Palmer (b 1894) passed away in 1901
