Hi
So far, I don't see a Margaret Mary Davies birth registration (1909-1910) on either the Eng & Wales GRO index or the North Wales BMD in the Llanrwst RD or other close RDs. There are quite a few Margaret Davies over the two years and a Margaret Ann Davies, Llanrwst 1909 but no Margaret Mary, so it's difficult.
There is a Margaret M registered in Llanrhaeadr yng Nghinmeirch in 1910 on the North Wales BMD. The GRO index has this as Dec q, 1910, Ruthin RD. It could be but Llanrhaeadr Y N is a way from Llanrwst. It is possible that Catherine got her granddaughter's birth place wrong.
Nothing is showing on the Family Search baptisms so it's not likely that FindMyPast has one either.
On the 1901 at RG13/5243/66/6 Bryn Rodyn, Trefriw, there are three daughters and one son who could be Margaret's parent:
Owen Davies, hd, 42, wheelwright, bGlan Conway
Catherine Davies, w, 44,b. Eglwysbach
Hugh Davies, s, 18, wheelwright, b. Glan Conway
Mary C Davies, d, 16, b. Llanrwst
Elizabeth E Davies, 13, b. Trefriw
Jane A Davies, d, 11, b. do
and the younger children
It might be worth you following up these 4 to see if there are any clues.
Sorry but my internet connection is very slow so it's taking a long time to just do one simple search.

From other info, I don't think that Hugh was the father :-\
Do you have any marriage information for Margaret? There's a possible marriage for her in 1934, assuming she might have stayed in the same area:
Margaret M Davies and Hugh Davies
Sept q, 1934, Llanrwst. 11b 705
Gadget
Added - North Wales BMD has Hugh Davies marrying a Margaret Maud Davies in 1934 but in Corwen not Llanrwst - I've cross checked ???

I see that you've been given some info on this family here:
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=645485.0
Do you suspect that Jane Ann or Elizabeth was Margaret's mother or could it be the other sister, Mary C ?

To help you chase up the possible mother, this looks like Mary Catherine:

I'm still trying to find the other two!

Just found a possible birth registration for a Margaret Mary Davies, Llanrwst on the North Wales BMD in 1908 Local ref is RWST/27/39*
It is possible that Catherine might have got her grandaughter's age slightly wrong.

Hello Anne :)
I'll have to have a think about this. I'm a bit busy with housing moves, etc. at the moment and would welcome any (less busy) other members' contributions/thoughts.

Response from someone with more time on their hands as requested by Gadget ;D
Have been reading your other thread - if Jane Ann was shunned by the family for having a baby out of wedlock in 1916 it seems unlikely that a granddaughter born out of wedlock in 1908 or thereabouts would have been welcomed?? Perhaps look for daughter of one of the boys who was married.
Or was the 1916 child Jane's second slip up?

Just to fill in a gap. Elizabeth Ellen Davies married Rowland John Lewis in 1922 in Conway Registration District. 11b 936. He died age 70 in 1942 reg. Conway Apr-May-June quarter 11b 911. Elizabeth E Lewis died 1962 age 74 reg. Conway 8b 144.

This is a very difficult one.
The Margaret Mary Davies birth found by Gadget in Llanrwst in 1908 ties in with another Davies family quite unconnected to yours in 1911 (they have a 2 year old Mary Margaret) so we are back to "where was her birth registered". Without this information it will be quite impossible to get a birth certificate to see who her mother was.
As Gadget says info from other sources shows that Hugh is not the father and Gwilym Iorwerth was 18 and living at home in 1911 (from your original info) so he is unlikely to be Dad so it's back to which of the girls was Mum.

Popping in briefly. I'm so glad that you took this up, Fairlane, but it looks a bit of a problem.
I'm just wondering if there is anyway that we coulkd prove anything but................ :-\

Seems unlikely. :( Going back to the other thread "she had to leave the big white house" I wonder if this was one of the girls having to leave service as she was pregnant rather than a reference to leaving home - impossible to verify.

I beginning to think it was Jane Anne Davies only because she was having a baby in 1916 and not married and then was cast out of the family
maybe it was because she had Margaret Mary in 1910!! or there abouts
As Fairlane said maybe Jane's second slip up
