I have been searching without success for a picture of the house that once stood at the junction of Bouet and Les Amballes, which was long a family home. This has been prompted by my transcribing of a dairy written from the address in 1887.
Number 2, Bouet passed through 3 generations of my family and was described as an 8-room house with a garden of several hundred feet, which extended down Les Amballes. It was finally sold in the 1890s.
Looking on-line, it would seem that an ugly lump of a shop (Co-op Locale) now stands on the site. Does anyone have access to old pictures of St. Peter Port that might show the original house?
Very many thanks.

Hi Josh P
The only thing I can think of is searching through old postcards. Try this auction site ....

There are 2400 postcards to go through. You might strike lucky.
There are other auction sites too.
