The 1851 Census has the O'Rourk family living at Cathcart Castle (I'll have to check that!). They were:
James (48) weaver b Glasgow
Euphemia (36) wife b Edinburgh
Euphemia (16) daughter b Glasgow
Barbara (14) daughter b Glasgow
Catherine (10) daughter b Glasgow
Hugh (8) son b Dunbartonshire
George (4) son b Glasgow
Now , the family have called themselves 'O'Rourk', 'Rock', 'Roxburgh' and even 'Roxbe' dependent on which Census, BMD etc used - we are Roxburgh now (at least my lot are!)
I have found most of the family; however, I can find nothing about daughter Euphemia after the 1851 Censur, nor anything about Catherine after she witnesses her brother Hugh's wedding in 1862.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in anticipation.
And Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Can you include birthplaces please and also the reference for the 1851 entry you mention as I can't find them in Lanarkshire
-
Cathcart is in Renfrewshire which is why I couldn't find them in Lanarkshire ::)

Oops. Sorry!

Can you edit your opening post to show birthplaces and I will ask the moderator to move it to Renfrewshire

Thanks CaroleW.

The 1861 has a Euphemia Wylie b 1836 Glasgow living in Greenock Renfrew - shown as wife but no children and no husband shown on the transcription - don't have access to the full image to check

Thanks for putting this in the right place, ev!
