Title: Roots & Palmers at Addington
Post by: jibba on Wednesday 22 January 14 21:56 GMT (UK)
Evening

I’m trying to found out more information on my 5th great-grandmother, Sarah Roots (nee Palmer).

I started a thread several years ago in the attempt of filling in the blanks - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=387554.msg2592323#msg2592323 . I have since discovered the following information, which is pointing towards the parish of Addington.

1789 – Sarah Palmer born at Rainham
1804 – Son James Palmer baptised at Rainham
1812 – Daughter Elizabeth Frances Palmer baptised at Rainham. Likely to be daughter of John Roots below
1812 – Marries John Roots of Addington at Rainham
1815 – Son Thomas Roots baptised at Addington. Only Sarah is listed as a parent. (Comes from transcript on Ancestry) John could be dead. He certainly was by 1822 (see original post above)
1822 – Daughter Mary Ann born, probably at Rainham, and relocated with Sarah to Hadlow. No sign of Sarah after this is. Am assuming Mary was baptised at Hadlow.

If someone out there has a transcript of the Addington registers, can you please see if there are any of the above Roots or Palmers buried there?
