He was born in 1917 in Holborn. I believe he married a Joan--- would like to find any details on his marriage and any children if any. would he still be alive

There's this marriage:
Dec 1941
Swinton John H Hendon 3a 1842 = Joan Ashby.
They only appear to have had 1 child, a boy in 1945.

Rootschat isn't a forum for tracing living relatives and we aren't allowed to post details of anyone who might still be alive but you could search for a marriage on FreeBMD site- depending on the coverage of the area where he married (and possible where any children were born) the dates might be too recent for the site but worth trying first as it's free (there's a possible marriage in 1941)

joan grace swinton died aug 2001 reg dist Camden date of birth 6 aug 1920 .

Found him.He married in 1868.

Found 2 more boys in 1972 & 74.

Never knew much about his family only that he was in the navy.

jjh Swinton did marry a Joan Ashby, have asked my elder sister Maureen if she knew were tompion house comes into the equation, somehow rings a bell!! re st albans, this is where my wife and i still live!!

In St Albans I don’t know much had factory thru 60/70’s and early eighties don’t know what they did though

i was brought up on bourne estate!! small world.i have a pics of Joan at my sis Maureens webbing at South Oxhey. Jack Maureen said was round back of church having a fag!!if you let us have e mail, will forward to you Terry.
