Title: Link: Usworth Holy Trinity Burials 1877 -1900 -Transcription
Post by: Tickettyboo on Wednesday 05 August 09 07:37 BST (UK)
Transcription of the LDS Family History Library film of the Holy Trinity, Usworth Parish Register, Burials 1877-1900.  This appears to be the only record that the LDS have for Usworth or I would have done more :-)
There are about 2,400 names with abode, age at death, date of burial and the minister who performed the service plus any (readable) notes from the margins.
The film quality wasn't wonderful, so I have a few entries where I haven't been able to read what it says. The places the people lived were mainly Usworth, Springwell, New Washington etc but there are a few from outside the parish ( including a couple from Stoke on Trent, which bemused me!) in places like Wardley, Jarrow, Gateshead, Newcastle

For  those wee ones who were born and died too soon where  without buying a death cert at £7 a shot, all I knew was that they died before their first birthday I now have their ages.

Hopefully some of you will find the info useful too, so I have stuck it on the web. The pages are basic, but the info is here:

The film will remain at my local Family History Centre, so if anyone would like an entry double checked let me know and I will happily do that.
