Hi :)
I've been looking for it on the old 6 ins OS maps but can only find Trench Road (Wrockwardine Wood area). I've found this ref to it:
The Gentleman's Club of Pain's Lane, begun for senior Lilleshall Co. employees in 1812, met monthly on Saturday evenings in the Shaw Birch or the King's Arms public houses, Trench Lane.

Will see if I can find more info.

Good old Wiki
Trench Road is an ancient byway and was previously known as Trench Way (before 18th Century) and for a period Trench Lane

Hi, I have just come back to ROOTS.
My mother's name was Betsy Wakeley. She lived at Trench Lock with her father Sidney, brother of Samson Roden Wakeley who lived at Yew Tree Farm.
Mum used to mention Johnny Brooks. Marie, Alison and Violet were her sisters. Does this show in your tree.
Reuben was my great grandfather.
I have got back to Richard father of Joseph.
Would appreciate any information back from Richard and Sarah.
