Title: Elis(z)abeth Sinclair bn Crieff 1849 - age 12 census 1861 Dunblane

Unfortunately the 1861 census for Dunblane is not on Freecen can anyone look this up for me?

Father's name John, I'm hoping her mother is on this census as I am searching for mother's first name and their marriage. 

Elisabeth had a sister Mary Ann bn circa 1951 who may also be present.

George (son) 1860 Dunblane

Will have another look later see if I can find a marriage, but you best bet, I think, would be SP.

1861 census has the family at Barbrush Farm, Dunblane and comprising:
John Sinclair head age 43, overseer of farm of 215 acres 5 labourers 1 boy, born Blackford
Elizabeth Sinclair wife age 37, born Auchterarder
Charles H Sinclair son age 14,  born Auchterarder
Elizabeth Sinclair daughter age 12, scholar, born Crieff
Mary A Sinclair daughter age 9, scholar, born Crieff
John Sinclair son age 7, scholar, born Crieff
William Sinclair son age 4, born Dunblane
George Sinclair son age 1, born Dunblane

They are also in the 1851 census at Milnab, Perthshire:
John Sinclair head age 31, ag labourer, born Blackford
Elizabeth Sinclair wife age 26, born Auchterarder
Charles Sinclair son age 4, born Auchterarder
Elisabeth Sinclair daughter age 2, born Crieff

FamilySearch has a marriage in August 1846 between John Sinclair and Elizabeth Halley, with banns at both Auchterarder and Blackford.

ScotlandsPeople, pay to view site, should have the actual OPR images for the marriage entries, and you can also view the actual census images there too. It also has images for civil birth, marriage and death certificates post 1855 to download.

I came across this site by accident and I am very interested to know your connection with the Sinclairs. Charles Halley Sinclair was my Great Granddad, mothers side. He was a QM Capt in the Black Watch and is buried in Sabathu India. He died on 21 June 1896. I have his service record plus photograph. Colin.

John Sinclair and Elizabeth Hally's gravestone picture can be found on www.findagrave.com they are buried at Dunblane Cathedral.
