hi I wonder in anyone can help I have in my family processions  a medal ww1 victory  to a private h j smith 1914 1915 reg no 16779 that's all I have  any help please

He served with the 11th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment - http://tinyurl.com/qg7xjbb - Ancestry account needed.

Do you just have the Victory Medal? He was awarded the 1914-15 Star for going to France 22 Sept 1915, plus the British War Medal which was awarded with the Victory Medal.

The tin was given out for Christmas 1914 and he did not go to France until September 1915.
