Hi I am looking for any information regarding a boxer known as "Flash " ACton active in the 1930's in Devonport. He was involved with the Devonport Amateur Boxing Club for any number of years.
Any information would be appreciated.
Steve

Maybe too late to be useful but I worked with Flash on two large jobs when he worked for Plymouth City Council around 1975. Flash was well beyond his boxing career and was working as a plasterer. He was good at his job. I remember that he suffered from arthritis at that time. I was an 18 year old student working part time as a labourer. Flash used to tell us stories about his boxing days but only when we asked questions. He was a nice, well mannered, unassuming person. Wish I could remember more and if I do then I'll post more info. Hope this helps a little even six years late :)

Hello Paul and welcome to RootsChat.
The original poster - southman2 - hasn't been on here since February 2019. Hopefully he still has the same email address and will receive notification of your reply. I'm sure he'd be interested to hear from you.

Hi Paul Devon
Thank you for your reply. Apologies for such a late reply. Family matters have meant I haven’t had much time for research. Flash was related to my father and I remember meeting him when I a child in the 60’s when he was still involved with the Devonport boxing club.
