Hi
Hope someone can help but it is the Jones name so who knows.
I am trying to find the surname of my 3 x gt grandmother. She was born c1786 Llanfwrog she was married to John Jones b c1778 Llanelidan.
I think i found them on the 1851 census with there youngest daughter Martha and my 2xgt grandfather Peter Jones who they brought up.
I have other children for them wether they are correct is to be determined they are Jane 1819 Margaret 1822 Enoch 1827 Abel 1829 Joseph 1832 and then Martha which i have already mentioned.
Any help would be really appreciated thanks :) :)

Hi still looking for you, found this 1841 which could be John/Elizabeth in 1841?
John Jones 65
Elizabeth 50
Ellis 15
Abel 13
Residing at Nant Plymog, Llanferras, Ruthin
Census Ref HO107/1405/ 5/4 / 1
Only problem where is Martha?
Did Peter Jones marry a Margaret Humphreys in 1873, if so have you his parish record or marriage registration?
Just wondering about this possible, and I mean possible marriage for John/Elizabeth?
John Jones to Elizabeth Lewis 11th November 1817 Llanelidan
Possibly suggesting that Elizabeth was a Parry, as a Joseph Jones aged 10 is with a Thomas & Mary Parry in 1841 HO107/1402/ 12/36 / 3 and Enoch Jones aged 15 is with a Richard Parry aged 50 Census Ref HO107/1404/ 14/3 / 10
Possibly uncles?

hi keyboard 86 thank you very much for taking the time to look .
Yes Peter Jones did marry Margaret Humphreys and I have their marriage cert.
The marrige looks quite promising and i will look at the censuses you have given me
thank you :) :)

Hi again, does the marriage certificate name the father of Peter?
Also if the 2 children visiting possibly relatives called Parry are yours, then an Elizabeth Parry marriage would also be an alternative?!
Difficult one with a Jones!

Hi again
It is difficult ??? with these joneses :)
Peter Jones was the illegitimate child of Margaret Jones daughter of John and Elizabeth and he was brought up by them. Margaret married a Evan Davies in 1851. On his marriage cert it gives Peters father as Rhys Evans so aint got a clue about that lol.
Will delve into it deeper thank you for your help :) :)

I saw this one last night and checked up for a baptism in Llanfwrog around 1786 but none showing. Of course that doesn't rule her out. The only other marriages to an Elizabeth were in 1810 and 1811 in Llanfwrog. They might have married this early as she would have been circa 33 in 1819.

As far as I can see, most of the children were baptised in the Baptist chapel in Llanfwrog* - available on Family Search. They refer to The Genealogist for full details , although I think both Ancestry and FindMyPast also have non-conformist records.
http://www.bmdregisters.co.uk/ have most of the non-conformist records. I don't have any credits there at the moment or I'd look in more detail. I've also got the Blackwell Index (non-con registers for Denbighshire) and will check that shortly. However, many non-conformist registers are missing, especially the earlier ones.

There is also a Mary Jones baptised at Llanfwrog Baptist Chapel om 26 Nov 1817, to John and Elizabeth Jones.
Added - Blackwell has this one as John Jones a smith rather than a labourer, so don't think it's the same family!
