In a tree that I am working on I have a large brick wall, she is
Mary Jane Harvey B1844 or so she says on census from 1871 to 1911,
on all she says she is from Dorset, on all but 1911 she is Jane Harvey
and in 1911 she becomes Mary Jane.
I cant find a marriage that fits the time scale, her eldest(Ada) born 1866 in Louth, Lincs.
On the 1911 she says she was born Chiswick, Dorset but there isnt a Chiswick in Dorset.
so she is a very stubborn wall

I just found the baptism as Rosie replied but then looked for a marriage.
I can't be certain but there is one that fits:-
Newington, Surrey (8 miles from Chiswick) 4th March 1863
William Harvey, mariner, father John Harvey, mariner.
Mary Jane Crocker, spinster, father Jese (sic) Crocker, labourer.
Witnesses - Emma Harvey and George Millitt?
On the 1851 census, there is a Jessy Crocker with a six year old daughter, Jane, in Dorset.
In 1861, Jesse is in Poole but no Jane.
May just be a coincidence.

If you have access to Findmypast, this link will show all of the Harveys (surnames only) indexed in Louth. You may be able to see the index without a subscription, but not the images.
http://search.findmypast.co.uk/results/world-records/lincolnshire-parish-registers-surname-search-1695-1911?lastname=harvey&place=louth%20holy%20trinity%2clouth%20st%20james%2clouth%20st%20michael
The last for William and Jane is in 1885 and the burial for Harriet is in 1904, aged 89.
Some may be missing from the index.

Thanks to all, I had the family and the parents its just I could not find who Mary Jane was as in maiden name
did she marry Joseph Harvey or William Harvey. or have I jumped to the conclusion that she married Joseph.

I think that you have jumped to the conclusion she married Joseph as I did but you will see I amended my post once I found the christening for Ada. I think you need the birth cert of Ada to confirm the rest of the information

Is there evidence that William and Joseph were different persons? Only one of them shows up in 1841. I don't have 1851 to hand.
I shall be out this morning so I won't be looking for anything. :)

You may have the following by now:-
Jane's baptism - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J967-2VX
Looking at the various trees online, none has Joseph as a son of John and Harriet. Possibly the 1861 census is incorrect - Joseph Howell mixed up with William Harvey?
Baptisms in Louth;-
Emma - 24 Aug 1836
William - 26 Aug 1836
Ishmael Espin - 22 Nov 1840
Thomas - 12 Oct 1845
buried - 6 Jan 1846
John - 25 Jan 1847
buried - 29 Jan
Harriet - 15 Sep 1859
Also but no baptisms found, so may not be John and Harriet's
George, infant - buried 18 Jan 1854
Martha - buried 5 Feb 1855 age 5yrs
None of the trees has the 1851 census, except for Emma.

Thanks everyone,
after seeing 1861 census I had concluded that she married Joseph, which probably explains the brick wall, and I have not seen them together on any other census, 1 up to the enumerator. after looking for a William marriage it becomes obvious that she is Mary Jane Crocker born in Poole and married in 1863, I was beginning to wonder if she was telling fibs.
thanks Davd.lyon

It seems as though the enumerator often gets things wrong. In 1891, he has Harriet born in Dorset and Jane in Wrangle.
I forgot to mention that John Harvey was buried at Louth, Holy Trinity, on 1st July 1895, age 84, although one tree has his death (presume burial) as 1st June.
William and Jane are together in 1901, on board his ship 'Bee' off Woolwich:
William Harvey - 62, Master born in Louth
Chas Harvey - 15, Boy born in Louth - presumably their son, Charles Harold, baptised on 19th July 1885
Jane Harvey - 56, Master's Wife, born in Louth
This has two sheets, the second of which gives details of the ship, a 64 ton coaster from Goole, and details of two members of the crew, who were ashore:
Chas Hoffman - 26, mate, born in Stitheen, Germany
Fred Cummings - 18, O Seaman, born in London

Maybe it was the person who completed the household form that was then passed to the enumerator ;D
