Hi all,
Need a little help looking for info on the following
Juggins Reggie W, Hereford 1915 ( unsure if definite person but only one I could find at time of searching that fit time period in that area)
Believed to be the father of my nana's sister & possibly my nana ( all deceased). Stories say he was married, living in Hereford and died during WW2 but any info on birth/marriage/death/ family members or anything that could place him in Newport at a certain time would be greatly appreciated - even if it eliminates him from the search for my nana's father.
Thank you so much!

Hi and welcome to Rootschat
Rootschat has a "no living persons" policy so we would be unable to give details of any of his family who may still be alive
Is he named on your relatives birth certs as their father?
There is a death recorded for him in 1973 in Herefordshire

Hi,
Welcome to RootsChat. :)
A possibility: Reginald William J Juggins (b. 27 Aug 1915) died 1973 Kington, Herefordshire..
However, the accuracy of the information (e.g. date of birth) is only as good as the knowledge (or not) of the informant when registering the death.

There is nothing coming up for a marriage for him
Here is his death registration. Perhaps a copy of his death cert may yield some info but that is not always the case with death certs

Hi thank you for your reply and for the search! Oh yeah understand the family situation completely!
Ah so possibly didn't die in war then if right person!
-
Hi
If he is the right person then he most definitely did not die in WW2
There are other Juggins casualty entries for WW2 here
www.cwgc.org

Thank you all for the information :-) more than what I knew originally so it has helped!
We were told Reg Juggins is named on my nana's sisters birth certificate and Reggie was only one I could find that fit the situation. It is possible it's not the right person I guess!

Hi
Do I take it that you haven't actually seen either birth cert? May be a good idea to buy a copy to check if a father is named.
There were 4 Juggins births in Herefordshire - the other 3 being Reggie's brothers

My nana had her birth certificate it had father unknown, ( my family have that I think) we were told by her sister years ago before her death that hers said reg Juggins but none of my close family have seen a copy. I am not subscribed to any ancestry/geneolgy sites yet

You can look up your grandmothers sisters birth for free here www.freebmd.org.uk
It will tell you the quarter in which the birth was registered, and it will give the district plus a Volume and Page number
That is the information you will need to apply for a copy of her birth cert
However - if no father is named there is no proof

Thank you very much Carole for all your help - think I may do that soon as I can to confirm it
