Title: National archives orders
Post by: pergamond on Thursday 09 April 15 10:12 BST (UK)
I have just ordered some archive photographs through eGSSA, which I have been told will take 4-6 weeks.

They are however unable to do two I would like from Repository KAB. Can anyone tell me please how to obtain these? The National Archives site doesn't make it very clear how to order anything.

(I also don't know what KAB means!)

KAB = Cape Town Archives. You can email them with the document refs, and they'll provide a copying estimate.

Bookbox, just to follow up on this - yes, after some time of being passed from person to person I now am under way, and the document copies will be on their way to me in the next few days I believe. Thank you so much for your help. :)

You’re most welcome. The last time I ordered a file from Cape Town, I think it took about 5 weeks (to the UK), but it was worth the wait.  :)
