Good morning,
Can anyone help me with any information on Jacqueline Jackson and Reg Byrnes/Burns, marriage, death and burial places.
All I know is Jacqueline was born around 1926- her mother was Anne James (Titterington) and de-facto husband Jack, who died 1929. Her mother Annie, married C R Jackson on 25 February 1933 and moved to Bellingen - Anne was about 32 yrs and Charles 42.
I have no information on Reg Byrnes/Burns at all.
Any information would be very much appreciated
kind regards

Hi Cupcake,
You are providing a lot of information about people who you cannot confirm are no longer living. May I please gently remind you about RChat's policy re living people. You should remove the names of any person that you cannot already confirm are deceased.

All the names I have mentioned are deceased
Anne Jackson died in Sydney hospital (bowel cancer) 1964 her husband CR Jackson died 29 July 1953- buried in Bellingen cemetery.
The information I have Jacqueline and Reg are also deceased, just don't have the dates.
Thank you

cupoflife,
Thank you so much the that information. I feel I am getting somewhere with my family research.
Do you know where the cremation would have been
-
cupoflife,
I think this coud be BYRNES, Reginald Thomas, being late of Scotts Head, as was Jacqueline.
He would probably have been cremated, which means there will be no burial place for either Jacqueline or Reginald.
Thank you once again

I haven't had much luck with my relatives in Australia.
My Grandmother was buried in Bellingen cemetery but, appartently the records were lost about 1970 so, I don't know her burial place.
Her daughter Anne Jackson died at Sydney Hospital 1964 and was cremated at Woronara, her husband C R Jackson is buried in Bellingen cemetery, again, no records.
Anne's daughter Jacqueline was cremated and, possibily her husband, Reginald was too. Would like to know where where Jacqueline and Reginald Byrnes lived in Scotts Head, their home may still exist, today.

Their address was given in Jacqueline's death notice that cupoflife gave you in reply #5 as 3 Ocean Ave, Scotts Head but the Electoral Rolls list 2 Ocean St, Scotts Head :-\

Yes, there is a gap in SMH records available online. These are available on microfilm at most State Libraries and many larger libraries but have to be looked up manually at the library.
-
Merlin,
Many thanks for for the marriage entry. I didn't know Jacqueline's surname was STEEL so that was most useful.

-
Merlin,
was just curious as to whether 2 Ocean St, Scotts Head still exists.

-
cupoflife,
I shall see if I can get SMH records available online. As I am in Scotland I won't be able to look up manually at the library.

I can look that up for you on the weekend when I am at the library.
Adding: Ask a Librarian is also useful especially for interstate and overseas guests http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/services/ask/index.html?HomeLink=Ask_A_Librarian

I have spent some great times at Scotts Head, a truly quiet but beautiful part of our East Coast There are only less than a thousand residents, but it does get busy in the Summer. This is a Gallery of pics of a rental property 3 Ocean Street Scotts Head.

Neil,
What can I say - the scenery is awesome and looks so beautiful and tranquil. Wish I could wave a magic wand and just land there.

Deleted - sorry I was confused between personal messages and the thread (2 tabs open and I replied to the wrong one :()

Ros,
The middle names don't seem to have any family connection but, may be him. Strange there is no marriage for them.

-
Ros,
Re: Adrians middle names
I said the middle names didn't mean anything, then, I remembered (senior moment) I had Annie's marriage entry and, discovered Charles Jackson's mother's name was Meta Sophia Boyd- so that explains the Boyd. Meta is an unusual name.

Adrian was very flexible with his middle names.
His driver's Licence had Adrian Boyd Milton Jackson and his passport had Adrian Milton Boyd Jackson.
-
Thank you very much for your parents burial stone. Yes, he did seem a flexible person, regarding his middle names.
I don't recall meeting them when they were in Scotland - I do however, remember Margaret Howe and daughter visiting us - can't remember the year though.
-
I only recognise Aunty Margaret and her husband.Perhaps yo can fill me in with the others, please One may be Jacqueline.

On the Far-right in white is Maxine, Aunty Jack's daughter. She passed away 2016, I can't tell you the next one in black following the rule of not identifying living people. Now the male behind her looks a lot like photos I have seen of Reg when he was younger. Jaqueline is in the orange jumper. Am I allowed to identify that gorgeous little boy in his sailor's suit :)? (I don't look too happy). I know the baby (I'd say it was her christening) very well but she is still alive. I am unaware of who is holding her? Margot? And of course Meg at the back. Thanks for that photo.
-
I did think after I sent the photograph about identifying living people. I do apologize for that. The gorgeous little boy in his sailor's suit ;) Yes a little cutie. Some children just do not like their photographs taken.
Thank you.

Hi Rosball. I hope I have done this correctly. Would you be kind enough to send me a copy of the probate packages for Charles Robert Jackson if possible?
Kind regards. Bruce.

Welcome to Rootschat, Bruce.
Now the male behind her looks a lot like photos I have seen of Reg when he was younger.
I am the adopted daughter of Cupcake’s first cousin - still living and in her 80’s - here in Australia.
Is the man in the photo Lionel St John Howe, Aunty Margaret’s (known as Margot to me) hubby? I stayed with them when they lived in Bondi.
Jamjar.
-
Would either of you know if Aunty Margot’s son is not long ago deceased? There is a chap by the given name and middle name Charles, aged 74, deceased at Coffs Harbour. I visited the son in Sawtell, which would come under Coffs burial services, I expect.
HOWE …… Charles Death notice 10DEC2020 Death 74 at Coffs Harbour Health Campus NOTA - Coffs Coast 18DEC2020
I have deleted the first name, as it may not be him, but if you do a search with all three names you will see a photo. He looks to me to be an older version of the man in the christening photo.
