My grandmother Lily Tudor was born on 14th March 1883 at Curzon St, Aston, B.Ham
Her father was William Tudor born 1858 and her mother Elizabeth Clayton (they married in 1876)
I could not find the family in the 1891 census on Ancestry or Find my past - I paid a researcher
for a report of all Tudors in BHam in 1891 and my family are there -researcher quotes 12/2383
Lily has been misspelt as Lilly -she is shown with seven siblings, and her parents.
I still cannot find them via the online sites -is there anyway knowing the RG/Fiche/Folio numbers can help in this search?
Also in 1881 William and Elizabeth are shown with their sons Willm. 2 and Arthur 2 days -but I can't find a record of an Arthur Tudor either birth or death, but he isn't with his parents in 1891- can anyone offer any advice please

FindMyPast has them as Ludw
RG12/2383
f8 page 10
Ancestry has them as Ludes

Ancestry has them as Ludes
piece 2383, folio 8, page 10

Thank you both so much -I still don't know how you found them though, and it would be useful to know in case something similar occurs again

On FindMyPast I selected 1891 census and put Lilly in the name and 2383 in the piece number and just looked at the selection of Lilly's they provided. There were only 15 in total (I had not put in an age) and that surname looked most likely ;D Then I checked the image

On Ancestry I put in Lilly (mispelt as you said), then year of birth +/- 1, parents names and living in Birmingham. Not many came up.

That's really useful thank you.
Any suggestions on Arthur ?

Do you have a date of birth for their daughter Rose who is age 10 in 1891. :-\
I was wondering if the entry for Arthur is wrong and should read Rose. There was a birth for a Rose Elizabeth registered June qtr 1881 which is where you would expect to find Arthurs birth registration.
Birth June qtr 1881
Rose Elizabeth Tudor
Birmingham 6d 110
Death Dec qtr 1907
Rose Elizabeth Tudor age 26
Birmingham 6d 124

Hi Rosie,
I've got birth certificates for most of the siblings but not Rose, however she was definitely Rose Elizabeth, I couldn't understand how Arthur could be 2 days old in April and then another baby followed quickly !
I've found many spelling mistakes etc but can't understand how a baby girl can be listed as a male called Arthur! , but nothing else makes sense.
I suppose I need to send for birth cert. and if date of birth is 1st April your scenario seems likely.
Thanks very much for your involvement

I suppose it could just be a case of the enumerator not reading the original information properly or maybe the information they had been given was not clear. Hopefully the birth certificate will solve it.
