Hi
I am trying to find the parents of this man according to the national Archives online he was born 6th April 1898, but there does not seem to be an entry on the Free BMD site for him, Anybody have access to the Manuden parish records.
In the 1911 Census he is living in Islington aged 12 and he married a Rosie Barker in 1924 in Waltham Abbey.
Many thanks
David ;)

Hi Groom
Many thanks for that information, it was interesting to see that Charles was born in Manuden in 1819, and the only one of his grandchildren John Edward, the line I am researching was also born in Manuden in 1898.
I now need to find someone with access to the Manuden PR's tom find his baptism c1819 and the names of his parents.
Kind Regar4ds

Hi Amondg
Thanks so very much for that information, the name variation seems to happen quite a bit during the 19thc. There seems to have been at least 3 generations of Blacksmiths in the family.
I now need to find the baptism and parents of William born c1797 in Newport.Essex
God Bless
