It saves us looking for information you've already found if you post the links so we can look at the details ourselves in order to help you.

Here's the 1911 census- the family were at 20 Bennett St. not #17-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Londonderry/Londonderry_No__3_Urban/Bennett_Street/600154
This page confirms the street address-
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002835589/

They were still at that address when Robert died-
Anderson Robert of 20 Lower Bennett Street Londonderry retired engineer died 17 August 1952 Probate Londonderry 27 October to Helen Anderson widow of testator. Effects £4236 4s. 11d.
http://apps.proni.gov.uk/DCAL_PRONI_WillsCalendar_IE/WillsSearch.aspx

PRONI, Belfast should have the Will and estate paperwork and any surviving children might be mentioned.

Since the family were Presbyterian you could check with the local Presbyterian churches for baptisms of children.

Are you sure Helen's maiden name was Weir?

I searched GRONI's database for births (covers ones over 100 years old) with surname Anderson and mother's name Weir and found the following-
Catherine Anderson born 28 Dec.1912 Londonderry (mother Weir)
Mary Anderson born 13 Sept.1915 Newry (mother Weir)
BUT there was no record for Elizabeth (age 2 months on 31 Mar.1911) so I checked births in 1911 for Elizabeth Anderson and found the following-
Elizabeth Anderson born 29 Jan.1911 Londonderry (mother Moore)

It's also not entirely clear exactly what sort of information you are now looking for so could you please clarify that so that we don't waste time searching for details that you either already have or are not interested in finding.

Hi

I have just come across your post.  I have a Great Grandmother Sarah Anderson born approx 1855.
She married Charles Kelly in 1875 in Derry City.  Sarah was Presbyterian and still trying to locate a Birth Cert for her.  She had a Sister Elizabeth listed as born in Donegal.

Also,I notice you have McElwee relatives?   Me also.  My Mother was McElwee daughter of James Mcelwee.

Good luck with your searching.

Barbara

Registration of births didn't start until 1864 so there won't be a birth certificate for Sarah Anderson born c1855.

Are you trying to find out more about Sarah Anderson's family? Since marriages usually take place in the bride's church then that might get you a place to start looking for baptismal records. The marriage certificate should also list her father's name and occupation.

Thank you for your reply.

I have the Marriage Cert for Sarah and Charles. She married in his Church, long Tower, Derry City.

I will have to try Proni and Pres Records for her Birth.

Thanks again

Barbara

Do you mean these folk at street no. 34 Bennett Street?

'Maryderry' at reply #2 mentioned the same family in 1901:
https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/South_Ward_No__2_Urban/Alexander_Place/1528782/

As she said, they (William and Catherine) look like the parents of the Robert at no. 20 Bennett Street in 1911, here's a birth that fits in 1880, the mother's surname given as Sheils:

The closest candidate I can find thus far for a possible marriage for this couple is this one in 1879, the groom was stated as Robert rather than William Anderson (but signed as William), the bride was Catherine Shields:

The Londonderry Sentinel of 26 February 1925 carried a death notice for William Anderson of 34 Lower Bennett Street who died on 24 February, saying that his remains were to be interred in Moneyreagh Burying Ground.

I can see a marriage on 27 June 1928 for William and Catherine's son William to a Mary Patterson, it was in the Registrar's Office in Derry, William was described as a bachelor, a factory worker living at 34 Lower Bennett Street, the son of William Anderson a shirt maker, spinster Mary's address was Ardmore, her father given as John Patterson a bleacher, the witnesses were James Anderson and Ella Robinson.

Also a possible marriage for William and Catherine's daughter Isabella Anderson at Ebrington Presbyterian Church on 8 August 1922, the groom was John McLaughlin of Derry, a bachelor and a 'Special' by occupation (police), his father's details were not provided, the bride was Isabella Anderson of Bennett Street, spinster, the daughter of William Anderson, his occupation given as  'shipyard', the witneses were Joseph A. W. Reaney and Margaret McLaughlin.

Also a possible marriage for William and Catherine's daughter Jane Anderson to a James Lee at the same church the previous year:

Maybe I made a mistake , I looked at the census and it does say 24 Bennett for my William Anderson and family. To keep it simple he is my grandmothers uncle. The last entry in the census is my Great Great Gran. So, if it’s them , I can connect some dots for who ever is looking to know a little about the Anderson’s. I’m just confused if it’s the same street as originally mentioned

That household is not at 24 Bennett St. 24 is the number assigned by the enumerator. The actual street address is 49 Bennett St. as shown on this part of the form-
