Hello All,

Looking for any local records concerning Jarvis George Hinton (AKA George Hinton and John George Hinton). Particularly interested in any criminal records, if they exist. The period is the early 1900s.

Can you tell us what you already have found?

e.g When / where was he born? Have you got him on censuses? What make you think he has a criminal record?

Hi Liz,

He was arrested in 1922 for bigamy and a whole bunch of previous convictions were listed.

Also, in 1926, I think I've found mention of him in a newspaper article.

I'd like to try and find any more newspaper articles that may mention him and give further details and/or any criminal records, which could also provide more details.

Are you aware of anything locally?

You will not get fully detailed criminal records online - what you have already been given by way of newspaper reports is far more detailed
