Hi Peeps,
During World War 2,when children were evacuated from cities,to safer countryside,
would the local councils have made a list of these children?
Destination,Date,etc.
Also what ages did the children range from,
I am trying to put together a puzzle of a family member, who was evacuated from Plymouth,Devon,to a farm in Wales.
Sadly this member is now deceased,so cannot clarify.
I am thinking of contacting the local library,as this seems to be the best bet,
but curious if other Rootschat members have raised this issue before.
Thanks
Bennett.

My Nan was evacuated with her sisters and CLASSMATES to Bedfordshire and her Brother with his CLASSMATES again to Bedfordshire.
I don't know who organised the local evacuations but maybe the Classmates went with them you would have thought so anyway all beign children
