I have a William Meadows at the start of our family tree which is documented in The Landed Gentry 1912 but I can't find which branch of the UK Meadows family he comes from he was married in Ireland August 1697 to Catherine who may not have been his first wife as a lot of women died in child birth and he Died 1726 and desired to be buried in St Iberius Church Wexford which would indicate he may have been a Vickar which back then was granted to the chosen few rather than a "Calling". The family came to Ireland with a lot of money and married well. The sons were highly educated in Trinity Cambridge and France also there are records of this line being born in Australia and India but I can't find where William came from in the U.K.

earliest I can see http://irishdeedsindex.net/mem.php?memorial=62249
Arthur was married to Ann Percival, so plenty of money there... you could try looking at Percivals for possible/probable Marriage Agreement on Nick Reddan's site
http://irishdeedsindex.net/deeds_index/name_index.php .
I had a great Percival lineage up last night will see if I can find it again as Ann should be on it.

Thanks for reply. I don't quite understand it though as I am still learning the lingo. The other problem with our line is that we have called most of the male offspring Arthur, Joseph, William, John and Henry so it gets quite confusing but Burks have it well documented but of course All of ireland was the UK back then when Our first William was alive! I also saw on a forum which I can't find again that the Suffolk Meadows also had a William which they lost record of! And also one of our later William Meadows went to Liverpool which I saw might be looked for on this forum also.

This is all I see on Meadow Wills... too late for you!!

"Margaret Loftus, sister of Lord Loftus of Loftus Hall married Hygatt Boyde of Rosleare Esq, Her daughter
Ann Boyde married Sam Batt of Ozier Hill, and Anne's daughter Margaret married Arthur Meadows who had
three children, one only, Arthur, survived her."

Wow this is so interesting I always knew some of out ansisters had titles but didn't know how or where they came from. I can also see every Church of Ireland Sirname pop up in our family tree which is very interesting. I haven't seen the Bible extract before! And never heard of Drinagh Cemetery so I will have a look for that as I live quite close. I may have to travel to Dublin to see is there a record of where William originated, I know that most people are happy with a few hundred years but I of course I am now obsessed and want to go back as far as records began as I think it is possible. Thanks so much for your information ;D
