Hi
In response to the posts on the Caselton family, I am the grandson of Ivy Florence Caselton and may be of help on any questions you may have regarding the family. My mother is still alive and was living in Sun Lane , Gravesend along with Ernest Caselton. There is a daughter of Ernests father from his 2nd marriage with whom I am in contact. If I can be of any assistance, please contact me.

Hi Sandra
Thanks for replying, we have already been involved with the commemorative plaque via the article in KentOnline, we have been corresponding with Mo Russell.
With regards to Ivy Caselton at the time of her death she was widowed, having been Married to Laurence Hogwood.

Mission accomplished - Mo is someone I have been in touch with from time to time regarding other
appeals.
I did try to contact someone via ancestry who had Ernest in there family tree - but sadly they never replied - you might try that avenue if you are looking for other relations.
Think we can mark this one "COMPLETED"

Hello,
I'm the granddaughter from Vernon Caselton (+1986)
and he was the half brother from Ernest Caselton.
We just found out that you are looking for relatives! We are living in southern Germany!
I know that Ernest Caselton died on the tug "Persia" but the tug didn't sink.
They rebuilt the tug and was used with a new name!
When the tug was scrapped a friend came to my grandfahter and gave him
the ships wheel from the tug in remembrance of Ernest and my grandfather gave it to my father Barry many years ago. It's hangs on the wall at my parents house!
We have quite a long time no contact to relatives from my grandfather side.
Best regards :)
