Title: Malwarebytes - Any one having problems ??
Post by: pityackafromblyth on Wednesday 29 March 17 13:53 BST (UK)
I have had Malwarebytes installed for a few years, but today I could not access it.  I uninstalled it, then downloaded it again, BUT downloading the supposed 'free' version I have been getting the premium trial version.  I wiped that, then went to another site for the free version.  Again the premium trial version was downloaded.
I found the Malwarebytes free to be excellent, but at the moment it seems as though any download results in their premium version trial.
Any ideas or suggestions ?

This is what the blurb says:
After the 14-day trial expires, Malwarebytes reverts to a free version without the full real-time protection.

I have Malwarebytes. However, when you download it you should make sure that you click on the left hand column of options given to you. This is the free version. Anything else and you'll find yourself downloading one of the not so free versions. At least that was my experience a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you both for the help and guidance.  I will try again.

Update, and thanks, Followed both your posts, and I have downloaded Malwarebytes, and now see it is the premium system (trial) but then after so many days, if you do not upgrade, then it reverts to the 'free version.'
Thanks again.

Get the paid version - it isn't expensive.
