I am looking for any information on my Grandmother, Susanna (Kacvinsky) Martin. She married Paul Martin in the early 1890's. Susanna was born about 1875 in Austria/Hungry. She was Slovak. I heard she was from Vienna. Her date of death is May 19, 1945 in New Jersey, USA. She immigrated to the United States in the early 1890's with two sisters, Valeria and Sophia. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi and welcome to RC. I'll have a look around. Meanwhile, you might want to edit your message - presumably you mean that she immigrated and married in the 1890s.

Thank you Erato.

Here she is in 1930 with her husband and four children in Maplewood, New Jersey. Born 1874 in Czechoslovakia; immigrated in 1894; naturalized citizen. Married at age 21 - about 1895. Paul Martin was also an immigrant from Czechoslovakia [1890].

No luck yet in 1900. I think Paul Martin might have changed his name from the original Slovak.

Paul's original Slovak name was "Marczin"
Thanks

I also think Paul might have lived around Haverstraw, NY in the late 1880's. Thank you for the help.

I think this might be Paul Martin's Declaration of Intent to Naturalize in 1904:

And this is the WWI draft registration of Paul Martin, Jr.:

I'm not having much luck with the passenger lists. Here's one possibility for Paul Martin under the name of Pal Marcinko, arriving in New York from Hamburg on 8 June 1888 on the SS California. The date more or or less coincides with what was reported on the censuses - 1887, 1889, 1890.
