Hello still trying to find the 1841 Census for James and Mary Copner in Warwickshire and see if their is a connection to the John and Harriett Wigley ancestors. Mary Copner was a widow in the 1851 Census living with John and Elizabeth Wigley and John Wigley Snr. Children. ???

Hello Janet,
Here is your earlier thread

I notice that I posted 1841 info on there. I didn’t remember it :)
Hello,
there is this:
1841 HO107; Piece 1148; Book: 10;Folio: 11; Page: 14
Watton Street Aston
James Copner 65 yrs Carpenter Not born in county
Mary Copner 60 yrs born in county
also looks like Elizabeth (niece) died in 1851.
heywood
We might find more now.
By the way, looking at the census, Mary is in receipt of Parochial aid - getting support from the parish.

Thank you Heywood, I haven't searched for awhile due to cataracts and I am just going over and checking, I would love to find however the marriage of James Copner and Mary and find out her maiden name if its Wigley. John Wigley Snr. baptism in 1796 county unknown is the difficult person to find. :-[ ???

1841 shows the John Wigley snr you mention with Harriet and children.
The child Edward Anthony born 1841 shows mother’s name as Porter.

Evening Heywood yes I know that Harriett was a Porter when she married John Wigley Snr. I am trying to find Mary and James Copner marriage and Mary's Maiden name. ??? :-[

Apologies. I misunderstood.

Can see only 1 death for a James Copner 1841-51 & he died Upton-on-Severn Reg. District in 1848 aged 75.
This gives a birth year of C.1773 which is about the right age for your man.
There's a Baptism in Gloucs. for a James Copner with parents Joseph & Rebekah in 1774 & a marriage in Gloucs. in 1793 to a Mary Smith.

Thank you both for your help, I have information that Mary's Maiden name was Wigley sister to John Wigley snr. this is a reliable source, and I like to check records to make sure and proof on results :-[ Where is Aston? and what County for the 1841 Census that was taken in Birmingham. :-[

B'ham & Aston are both in Warks.
Aston (Manor) is on the NW side of B'ham & became an overspill for B'ham. First called Aston New Town & then just Aston.

Thank you jim1 for your help. :)

Does the reliable source place Mary in a time and an area that could be checked?
