Title: Restore 1900 New York National Guard Squadron A Photo
Post by: Carole in Dallas on Monday 09 April 18 21:11 BST (UK)
Cheery Hello!

I would love to have this photo restored to place on findagrave.  The color of the uniform was a light blue, darker than sky blue with black trim.

Deep appreciation and gratitude sent your way!

A quick colour. Sorry I darkened the background whilst i was colouring and playing and decided i liked the outer silhouette effect.

Looking at the images the uniform is pretty similar to the blue/grey of the RAF so I've gone for that.

I am thrilled thrilled thrilled!  His granddaughter had sent this photo to the Squadron A  Historian and wanted to have it placed on findagrave.  She will be be ecstatic to see the transformation.  Hugs of appreciation sent your way!  I had told the historian that the resolution was not good and not to expect much.  But all of you are true "miracle workers!"

HUGS and deep gratitude sent your way!

I have uploaded your photos to findagrave.com and asked the historian to look at them.  Martyn, would you be so kind as to add the letter A next to Squadron on the photo.  The historian stated that the color was closer to the middle photo, he said.  WHAT wonderful restorations this Squadron will have to cherish along with the granddaughter of this dashing gentleman.

Many thanks sent your way!
