Title: French Uniforms
Post by: noytd on Thursday 14 February 19 19:50 GMT (UK)
Hopefully I am posting this in the right place as it relates to France.

I was wondering if anybody might have any ideas on what these French uniforms might be?

It is early days at the moment and I am not certain about who these men are, so seeking clues to help to identify them.

Probably Franco-Prussian war period 1870-1871. Collar numbers refer to regiments of the line. Pity not full length pics. and including headgear.

Many kind thanks for the information and offer. Luckily I was made to feel very welcome and was told to use google translator. I have now had some good information on there which I can now work on and hopefully led to some new discoveries  :)
