Looking for the grave of Prof. Paul P. Muratoff (possible spelling Muratov or Muradoff). He died on 5th October 1950.
According to the death certificate he died at Whitechurch House, Cappagh, Co.Waterford. I suppose he was buried nearby. He was an authority on Byzantine and Italian art, and the author of a number of works on the history of art.
What cemetery it could be? And could you please recommend me a historical society at that area?

Sinann, thank you very-very much for the help.
dathai, as I know Muratoff spent in Ireland around 3 years and he was a big friend with Allen. Thanks to them both we have the collection of Orthodox icons in the National Gallery of Ireland.

Oh so it is, not easy to read, well done.
Nice stone, I like simple ones like that.
-
It seems to me that there is some inscription on the cross. But I can't read it.
-
On the cross bar possibly, it may be just weathering, you would need to visit it.
I wonder why there is no transcript of his name, it must be easy enough to read standing right in front of it, I don't see anywhere to contact the site but perhaps if your registered with them it might be possible.
-
I agree. May be his name was too strange for that place. Anyway I added the transcription by myself.
-
Was that there when you posted that you had found it, I didn't see it.
Great that you managed to do it.
-
Not exactly. I followed your advice Sinann and registered with the web site to ask them to add the name. But then I saw that I can do it my myself. I'm so glad I have found the grave. Paul Muratoff deserves to be remembered.

I managed to reach this place and took some photos. There are no more inscriptions, just one with his name and years of life.
