I am looking for Warren family details - most are in Wiltshire (see a related thread here: https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=810831.0) but I think these two may have begun married life in an adjoining county. Berkshire and Dorset are possibles too, but would like to check one county at a time to avoid duplication of lookup requests.
I have found out a certain amount using FindMyPast, Ancestry, LDS and online parish info but there might be other sources I have missed.
It would be very useful to know Grace's maiden name, and when/where they married.
Robert Warren (1743-1836) and Grace (abt 1755-1845) were the parents of:
Ann Warren baptised 1791 Great Badminton, Gloucestershire, England (parents shown as Robert/Grace and the date is right, but it is a guess that this is the right family) - this is why I'm wondering if they married in Gloucestershire.
Mary Warren bap 1794 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England
Hannah Warren bap 1797 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England
Dianah Warren bap 1797 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England (possibly Dianah and Hannah are the same child transcribed incorrectly or twins or born in different years but bap on same day) - would need to see the original parish register to check this.
Samuel Warren bap 1802 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England - he is the father of someone I have a lot of info on ie Ann Warren born Lea and Cleverton, Wilts
Robert Warren buried Oct 1836 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England shown as age 93 so born abt 1743 'of Eastcourt' which is the adjoining hamlet. As he died before the 1841 census I don't know the county he was born in but there are a couple of possibles in Dorset.
Grace Warren 1841 census in Eastcourt, Crudwell, Wiltshire, England Shown as born in Wiltshire and age 86.
Grace Warren Q3 1845 death Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England aged 90 according to WiltsBMD webpage
I've searched for Warren births and burials from 1770 onwards in England and Wales and these are the only children I can find with Robert/Grace parents other than a family in Cornwall and one in Norfolk but these have children in the same years as the Crudwell baptisms so I have ruled them out.
Any ideas please of where I could look next? I've never visited LDS family history centres and wonder if they would have microfilm of parish register entries?
Thanks.

Thanks so much for that. I obviously don't use Ancestry correctly. Please could you tell me how you used the search to find that out?
-
A really wild search..... just used Robert Warren marriage @ 1790+ or - 10 years.
I'm in the library using it but I think it shows on my subs at home as I have Wiltshire ancestors.

Thanks - I think I start off with too much detail as I had tried Robert Warren and Grace with a year plus or minus 10 years.
I wonder if it helps to choose the record set first eg Wilts parish marriages and then put in names?

I had looked at the parish clerks online sites and this one http://ww3.gloucestershire.gov.uk/bmd/MainMenu.aspx but it doesn't go very far back.
However, I've just discovered the UK Geneaology Archive - not handwritten records but an index that goes back to the 1600s. And free.
So easy to find Robert/Grace here once you gave me the date. I've put the link here in case other people find it useful. https://ukga.org/cgi-bin/browse.cgi?action=ViewRec&DB=8&bookID=38&pagecount=41&submit=Go

Thanks for all the extra useful info.
I did see Robert Warren/Ann Goodman and just assumed it was the wrong Robert Warren. I didn't check to see when Ann Goodman died and if he could have married twice. I'll look for Ann's death and also children from that marriage.
Capetown - that's helpful extra info that Robert was a widower. Do you know why a licence and a bond and the difference? Was the bond payable to someone if the groom didn't turn up?
