The above apparently married Jack Judges and had 1 child but I'd like to know when Lily married Jack and who, when and where the child was born, and whether the child married and had children?

There is no way to know for sure if the following is your Jack and Lily Winifred but have found this couple on a number of voters lists. One has Jack, the rest John. All are for the same address. There is a 3rd party with them on the 1968 list who is a student. Probably still living so I will PM the details. The party would have had to be 21 to vote which suggests a mid to lateish 1940's birth, which in turn suggests a rather later in life marriage if this is your couple. Marriages and births in this time frame would be protected by privacy legislation. You would need to find other ways to learn more, such as newspaper birth and marriage announcements or obits, or perhaps social media or the telephone directory.

There is also another John/Jack Judges in the voters lists who also happens to be a photographer. He is listed at various addresses in the some of the same years posted above but in the same household is a Mrs Gwen. He is John R in one record.

Added....do you have the Rosser family in the 1921 census? They are apparently living in Ontario at this point.

Hi RK
Great find for Lily!
Knew you'd very likely find an obit or 2 :). I think the John Ross one is probably the other John/Jack?

Thanks PB :). It really helped that you found the family in the Toronto area :)
The Jack with the middle initial O that you found is definitely the right one.

Not seeing a marriage for John/Jack and Winnifred Lillian.
Found it...
Globe and Mail 31 Aug 1940 page 10.

S Judges. Miss Elaine Rosser was her sister's attendant. The ushers were Mr Leslie Judges, brother of the bridegroom and Mr Eddie Rosser, brother of the bride. Reception at the King Edward Hotel. Also mentioned by name in the notice is Mrs Norman Quinton, sister of the bridegroom.

Thank you all for your superb research.
Where is St. Aidan's Anglican Church -is that in Toronto and was the marriage 30/8/1940?

Hi,
The wedding notice didn't give a location for the Church, so it must have been in Toronto. The reception was at a hotel in downtown Toronto - so the Church must have been fairly close. There is only one Anglican St Aidan's Church in Toronto and it is in the Eastern part of the city. This makes sense, given the voters list information found by PB....after they were married, the couple lived about 5.5 kms away from the Church.

The wedding notice from the 31st said "last night", so that would be the 30th.

You are very welcome :).
If you are looking at trying to make contact with the family you should be able to contact the son through his company. Just google him and location.....several hits should appear.
You could also try the telephone directory using info from the more recent obit....

Looks like an email contact at the bottom of this note from a few years back. It may or may not be still in use.
