Hi . Please can anyone throw any light on the above.
William George Mitchell, was the son of George William Mitchell who was my GG Uncle. In the 1911 census William George is listed as 84th Battery RFO (Ceylon & India) Driver, I have a possible army number 34997. What does RFO stand for? Any other info would be much appreciated.
Many thanks BALOO
