Possibly in devon prior to 1827

So William rich's father was william rich shown on his marriage certificate

and on his Baptism record shows his mother as maria

Only shows a mother's name on the baptism record so possibly a different William

If he was illegitimate it is possible that William invented a father when he got married

Hi

The Baptism of william gives mother maria rich in 1827 bratton clovelly Devon

If that's the correct one ??

On William 's marriage record to jane burley

Gives the father has William no mother stated

But gives William guist rich occupation as marine

And hi father a labourer
