Can anybody help make out the mothers maiden name please?

I cannot makes heads or tails of it.

That could definitely be a possibility. I will search for a marriage between a James Cranston and a Bridget in Armagh and see if anything like that pops up.

Thank you. I thought it looked like a Mc but unsure.

Compare the last n in Cranston. It's the same form.

Yes that's another child. I didn't even think to check IGI. I have two children for them, David and Martha.

Yes but I don't see a marriage so far. I checked on irishgenealogy.ie

That's the site I have been using and I couldn't find other children as I see the other two were born in Banbridge Co Down and not Armagh.

Possibily why I could not find the parents on the census either.
