Hello
Looking for full details of the attached so I can prove her parentage. Think is relates to Sarah Ann Bowen (nee Rees). Hoping her parents are listed as John Rees and Margaret Evans? If so, others on Ancestry have her marrying William Joshua Bowen 08 Sep 1882 in Blossburg, Tioga, Pennsylvania.
Thank you

Hi
She must have emigrated 1881-1882. She is still with her parents in the UK 1881 census at Waunfawr but under her middle name Ann. The gravestone link provided earlier has her marrying William J. Bowen on 8 Sep 1882 in Blossburg, Pennsylvania.
1881 at Waunfawr
John Rees, Head, 54, Farmer of 44 acres
Margaret Rees (nee Evans), wife, 53
Ann Rees, Dau, 22, dressmaker,
Mary Griffiths, G. Dau. 6
Mary Griffiths actually Mary Ann Griffiths (1875-1897) is the daughter of Joseph Griffiths (1854-1903) and Sarah Ann Rees’s sister Margaret Evans (1854-1877).
John Rees is listed as Margaret Evans’s father (although her surname is Evans) on her marriage certificate to Joseph Griffiths. I and others have searched but not been able to find Margaret Evans birth record. She is actually listed as born Merthyr Tydfil. The assumption is she was conceived out of wedlock and her mother Margaret was “sent away” during the pregnancy to unknown relatives in Merthyr and gave birth to her daughter Margaret there.
Joseph Griffiths is my 2nd great uncle.

Thanks. Not convinced on this one as it is 2 years too late. I and others have made inquires with the registry offices in Carmarthen and Merthyr for suitable births around 1854 and found no matches. I think registration only became a legal requirement in the 1870s, so she/her family may well have decided bot to register the birth. The Evans family were very religious, so maybe not too surprising that they decided not to officially register the birth
