Thomas Wearmouth born 1864 in Wrekenton, Durham was known as Robson after his mother Jane Wearmouth married Thomas Robson. The family lived in Bothwell Parish, Scotland in 1891. Living with the parents was Mary Paterson born 1867 in Hamilton, Scotland and her son Thomas Paterson Robson who was born in 1886. About 1895 Thomas and Jane with their children moved to Durham and lived as married but did not actually legally marry until 1928 in Gateshead Register Office. Thomas used the name Wearmouth to register the marriage but the family appears to have continued to be known as Robson.
According to the 1911 Census in Brown's Buildings, Felling, Heworth, Durham Mary and Thomas had 11 children i.e. Thomas Paterson Robson born 1886 in Hamilton, Scotland and died 1915 in Flanders, Jane Elizabeth Paterson Wearmouth born 1889 in Bothwell Parish, Scotland and died 1919 in Lanchester, Durham, Ann Paterson Wearmouth born 1892 in Bothwelll Parish, Scotland, Helen Paterson Wearmoth born 1894 in Bothwell Parish, Scotland, Sarah Robson born 1896 in Chester Le Street, Durham, Joseph Robson 1897 in Heworth Lane, Durham, Ellen Robson born 1903 in Heworth Lane, Durham, William Robson born 1905 in Jonadab, Durham and Arnold Robson born 1907 in Jonadab, Durham and 2 names not known.
I have found it desperately difficult to find more information apart from the 1939 Register where Mary Paterson and son William are listed in 24 Wellington Street, Felling. I assume Thomas must be deceased. I have not found Mary's death nor anything more despite help from various agencies etc. I am therefore appealing for any information through RootsChat about any family member, no matter how little this may be.
Thank you
