Title: Benjamin Mary and Susan Boyle.

Benjamin Boyle 21 married Mary Ann Wilson 20  on the 11th November 1874 at Bailieborough parish church Cavan. They were both from Galboly. Fathers William and Hugh.

Their daughter Susan was born 21st May 1875.

I can find a record of them emigrating to N Z. Left 25 May 1875 arrived 24 Aug 1875  Auckland on ship Dover Castle .

Can any information be found after them arriving in Auckland. With Susan being a new born baby I wondered how they got on.

I did find details of a marriage for a Susan Boyle I think to Wilfred Owens but I have misplaced my notes and am struggling to locate it on the
family search website. I was not sure if it was her.

There is a tree on ancestry for this family. There is a newspaper cutting for Benjamin's death 13 Feb 1945 age 92 in Gisborne
There were 7 more children born to this couple with a death year of 1943 for Susan but no source for this.
Have you tried searching for family events in PapersPast? Also using NZ BMD's you can see the births but Mary Ann is Mary Jane.
All the children appear to have stayed around the Gisborne area apart from the Benjamin jnr born 1879– died 1937 Hastings, Hawkes Bay

Looks like they settled in Gisborne.  I had relatives who settled up the coast from Gisborne and they had to travel by ship from Auckland, then lighters came out to the ship to unload their luggage.  So sea journeys. 

On Papers Past it looks like the daughter was married to William Joseph Owen on 23/3/1892.

In the Gisborne Herald 14 Feb 1945 has an obituary for Benjamin Boyle's wife is named as Mary Jane Wilson. It is available on NZ Papers Past.
