Title: Note on bottom of the page re Banns
Post by: Retriever on Thursday 26 August 21 15:48 BST (UK)
Searching for a possible relative's marriage, I came across the following:

These Banns were discontinued on account of the Affinity of the parties.

Anyone any ideas on what it means?

It means that they were related as defined by the prohibited degree,

Affinity is related via marriage so could be marriage between inlaws.
