Hi,
This is linked to another thread trying to find Pitt Royd (Pytt Royde) in link below.
Hey is the family research name, Thornhill parish had William Hey (born late 1700's) at Pit Royd near Netherton, and the 1841c for Netherton area had a George Hey aged 15 living Whitely near Netherton village on a farm.
By 1851 c George Hey had moved on but the farmer he worked for David White age 55 wife Sarah White age 45 on the 1841c and still there on the same farm in 1851c, being David age 65 then and wife Sarah age 55
The member who started the thread has put a newspaper snippet of places very close to Pitt Royd being Windy Bank, Hawsworth and states Pitt royd is just of a lane that runs from Netherton to Stocks moor (Most likely South Lane)
As the Enumerators is a little vague 1841 - I thought using Farmer David White age 65 in 1851c will bring up the route of the Enumerators route that may give Pitt Royd and near locations in his area of Netherton.
I would appreciate a 1851c look please.
Rest of info see links ( See bottom of page 4 Rootschat for 1841c names listed inlink)

Sadly the 1851 Enumerators Description is just as bad .
"All the part of the Township of Shitlington comprising the Hamlet of Netherton"

-
1861 is no better - The whole of the Hamlet of Netherton - the White family are still living at Whitty House - Sarah and her children.
-
And 1871.

Well thanks for trying everyone. There are people in the village who have been told of Pitt Royd but have no idea where it was located
Again thanks

I don't know if there are still limiting rules about 1911c look ups ?
I found this in google books
The Publications of the Yorkshire Parish Register Societybooks.google.co.uk › books
1911 · Snippet view
FOUND INSIDE
October 9 Richard Son Thomas Haigh , Mitt Royd Green 15 Elizabeth Dau : of Joseph Oldroyd , Pitt Royd Netherton Farmer 16 Samuel Son of John Ilingworth , Cowm Hill Labourer 23 James Son of John Goodere , Thornhill Clothmaker Judith Dau ...
I was wondering if someone can look up (Baby) Elizabeth Baptised 15 Oct 1911 in the household of her father Joseph Olldroyd (I don't know his age =hence use baby daughter to find his household in Netherton (Wakefield) on 1911 c to see location info.Ie between entry before and after locations: please
Deleted as the year 1911 was when a snippet of paper was found added to the parish register page of a baptism of Elizabeth to father Joseph Oldroyd on the 15th Oct 1785 (Not 1911 as thought earlier)
