Sorry if this is a really dim question, and I'm sure that I ought to know the answer, but I've half an idea that some members of a family may be living in one part of a certain road, in 1939. I'm not quite sure of which members, nor am I certain of the exact address on the road - but other than landing fortuitously on the right road and going forward and backwards with arrows ( and that probably wouldn't work, because I'm unsure of the "married" surname) is there a specific route to follow? Thanks for reading this query.
(I'm seeking Bispham road, Southport Lancs)

You can search by address, via FindMyPast.

Ah, sorry, I'm afraid I'm "with" ancestry - is it possible in any way to search via address on that site?

Sorry, I don't know!

You could try
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/61596/
Put Southport, Lancashire in 'Lived In' Box and Bispham Road in keyword
You may need to try a few of the results to get the majority of the road so that you can scroll

Thanks, BumbleB, for the suggestions.
rosie99, I'm off to give that a go, right now. Thanks. I'll let you know how I get on.

You will have to do a lot of searching. Unfortunately there are 128 households for Bispham Road in Southport.

Slightly sweaty brain now, the method you suggested, Rosie99 almost worked, in the end I got there, and the people living there were not any of the names I'd been expecting, so at least that's ruled out a line of enquiry. (When I did my variant on Rosie's system, Girl Guide, it wasn't half as tedious as I'd thought, even though there were even more households than suggested. Thanks for the warning, though)
Anyway, back to the drawing board. Thank you all. I knew that somehow the helpful people here would sort me out!
