Hello I have been researching my ancestors from Rhuddlan and wondered if anyone can help with some local questions I have.
I have been able to find lots of baptisms and burial records but looking missing the detail of where?
- Thomas Roberts 1821 - 1895 Jan 3rd Rhuddlan, the records were in English.
As I follow the Roberts family through the census returns the same address come up "Parliament Street Criccin Rhuddlan - does this mean modern day Parliment St Rhuddlan ? I also have Elizabeth Rooberts a baker living on Oven Street Rhuddlan and could not find it modern day I wondered if they could have re-named cross street in later years?

A newspaper article from 1907 has Parliament Street at the junction of Castle Street.

Hello wilcoxon, many thanks for your reply. Parliament is a long street, Castle Street is at one end, there is a Methodist Church halfway down I think that this is where the street may have been and renamed.
Thanks for looking for me :)

Can you give Census years and references re. "As I follow the Roberts family through the Census returns ....".
What period does it cover?

Hi Hanes teulu,
I have William Roberts b 1782 Llantaintpaid Denbighshire and his wife Elizabeth 1786 living in the area from 1841 to 1868
Thomas Roberts b1821 Rhuddlan and Wife Ann 1826-ish from 1821- 1995
John Roberts b 1815 and Wife Mary b 1817 from 1815 - 1881
Mary Roberts b 1826 and husband (Isaac?) Jones b 1826 from 1826 - 1861
I have found lots of records, but this has only raised more questions as I do not know the area ??? ???
Elizabeth Kate Roberts nee Griffiths died at Ovan Street Crickin Rhuddlan St Asaph, but I can find no Ovan Street in Old maps ? I found the local church that was over 70% indexed but no burial for her????

Found William Roberts (born 1782) at Parliament Street on the '41 Census.
Parliament Street follows "Owen Street" - as transcribed by FindMyPast. However, I fancy it is Oven not Owen Street.
Any thoughts?
