Title: Esther Amelia Rosewarne GM?
Post by: s58roads on Sunday 31 October 21 13:17 GMT (UK)
According to Ancestry Esther Amelia Rosewarne was recommended for a George Medal following an air raid on St. Ives in January 1941. Does anyone know if she actually received the award and if so was  there a citation please?

According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recipients_of_the_George_Medal,_1940s) she didn't get the medal.

Thank you for these replies.
I have now found her in the London Gazette Friday 9th May 1941 under the heading "commendations"
