Title: Monatown, or Newtown, County Laois
Post by: KD146 on Tuesday 28 December 21 22:12 GMT (UK)
The attached Laois baptism image reads very like Monatown.  The best guess I can make is that it refers to Newtown, County Laois.  Is anyone aware of the existence of a Monatown, or are there any other suggestions, please?  Many thanks.

Which RC parish register did the baptism come from and what was the date?

Note that it is so much easier to look at a jpg attachment ( which can be expanded enlarged and contracted reduced) rather than a PostImage.
