Hi
I'm trying to find census records for a Thomas Brinklow born abt 1792 Kempston. I have a death record for 1854 so it will be 1841 & 51 census .
He married a Ann Webb in 1818 at All Saints Kempston and had 4 children the Eldest Elizabeth has her mother living with her in 1861 as Ann Blinkloe they are living in Bedford Road Kempston.
Looking through records Brinklow has been spelt in various different ways.
Brinkler, Brinckley, Brinklow, Brinkley etc.
Any help would be much appreciated

Not what you're asking for but just in case you aren't aware, Thomas' burial is in Steve G's transcripts.

There is a baptism of Thomas Brinckley at Houghton Conquest on 12 July 1795 (born 29 June), son of Thomas & Elizabeth. Houghton being his birthplace on 1851 census.
There is a marriage at Houghton Conquest on 31 March 1776 of Thomas Brinklow of Battlesden to Elizabeth Swift. There are baptisms at Houghton Conquest of several children to Thomas & Elizabeth from 1776 to 1795 with names as Brinkly, Blinkly, Blinkley, Brinkler, Brinkley
Could be him ?

Hi John
I also think this may well be the same Thomas. I have also found the same marriage and the children. I have had a quick look at Battlesden it seems a very small hamlet and I have sent for the PR to see if I can get back any further. There are some trees on A***** which suggest he was born 1729 at Battlesden which would have made him 47 when he married Elizabeth Swift. I suppose she could have been his 2nd wife? He would have been 66 when son Thomas jnr was born so not impossible.
Will try and find where Elizabeth Swift can from.
Thanks for your help

Just had a look at the PR for Battlesden, there are no Brinklow (or our variations) names listed.
There are quite a few at neighbouring Milton Bryan.
Burials at Houghton Conquest ...
Elizabeth Brinkley on 16/11/1817 age 63 (= b1754)
Thomas Brinkler on 10/02/1819 age 70 (= b1749)
Cheers John

Hi John
Thanks for looking that up for me. I have noticed there are a few Brinklow's also at Tringrith so when I get home will have to investigate. Thanks for the HC burials
